Two Dublin-based record company employees have joined forces to form a new management company.
SquareD was founded by Danielle Graham, who works at EMI Ireland, and Danielle Walsh, who works on the publishing side of independent label Richter Collective.
The two west of Ireland natives share a similar taste in music and a love of Irish bands, recently working together on Irish compilation The New Breed (above), which was released earlier this year. As such, they have taken several bands under their wings in the hope that they will follow the likes of Villagers and Two Door Cinema Club to international success.
One of those bands is Bangor electro-indie band Kowalski, which features the brother of Two Door Cinema Club's bassist Kev Baird on drums.
The other act on their roster is new instrumental quartet Alarmist, who plan to release their debut EP early next year. Both bands will play a SquareD show on November 25th at the Workman's Club in Dublin.
