Three Ticket scribes will chair talks with musicians- turned-authors at Dublin Writers’ Festival, which runs from June 4th-10th. As reported last week, Sinéad Gleeson will host a conversation with Josh Ritter on June 4th, in support of his debut novel, Bright’s Passage. On June 7th, Jim Carroll will chair An Evening with Mike Scott, where the Waterboys frontman will regale the crowd with tales from his career. The talk coincides with the publication of his memoir, The Adventures of a Waterboy. Tony Clayton-Lea will chair a talk on June 8th with James Fearnley of The Pogues, whose Here Comes Everybody memoir recounts the band’s highs and lows.
The talks will take place at Liberty Hall, but other music-themed events, The Night Town Project and Songs of the Scribe, will take place at the Workman’s Club and Unitarian Church, respectively. See dublinwritersfestival.com.
