AILBHE MALONEsimply cannot wait for Beyoncé's return

TRACK OF THE WEEK:

Aaliyah by Katy B and Jessie Ware

A Jolene for the Fabric crowd, this surprise Katy B cut comes off her new EP. Dropped on Twitter, it’s a four-track stop-gap between albums. And it’s all gold. The highlight, though, is Aaliyah, in which Katy B, Jessie Ware and long-time collaborator Geeneus plead with the girl in question not to take their man. “Aaliyah please, this is green envy. Why must you taunt me girl?”

Lawks, it’s not all larks being Taylor Swift. The I Knew You Were Trouble singer told Cosmopolitan that she’s had issues with over-zealous fans before. “I get nervous when I have stalker incidents. I try not to talk too much about it because it scares me. Sometimes you get a dude who kind of wants to steal you. That’s why I’m so grateful I have people looking after me, like [her bodyguard] Dennis.” She continued: “Over the past couple of years it’s got worse. I get told if there’s been an attempt or a threat. My security text me a picture and say, ‘Look out for this dude; he’s driven across the country, he’s off his meds,’ or something like that. No one has ever been successful in getting into my house or anything like that. I have an amazing security team.” We’re sad that she’s taking pride in nobody gaining entry her house yet. Poor Swifty.

In happier news, it’s clear that Beyoncé’s back for 2013. The singer has a deal inked for Pepsi, and a Superbowl show booked, and NeYo has now confirmed that he’s been working with Bey on new music. “I’m actually about to do some stuff for Beyoncé soon – she’s on her way back,” he told Billboard. Not only that, but The-Dream’s on board too, claiming earlier this month that Beyoncé “took the summer to start recording, and now she’s in a place where she’s ready to start gearing up to reveal her plan”. Can you say “excited”!!
