TRACK OF THE WEEK
The Flute by Petite Meller
Bonkers French popstar Petite Meller is one of our faves, and The Flute is no exception. There's a flute hook that is chirpy and peppy, slightly intelligible lyrics, and a banging chorus. I mean, at the end of the day, what more do you want?
Hero of the week
Mollie from the Saturdays, who is about to release a solo album. She told Digital Spy: ""It is a bit of a heartbreak album. There are a lot of songs about that relationship, but they're all coming in at different angles. Some of them are a lot more positive, while others are sad. But I guess a lot of it is heartache, but that's where I've been over the last few months."
She went on: “I’ve been single and it gives you that time to reflect on relationships you’ve had in the past. I’ve really learnt through doing this that I’m so much better at writing songs that are about actual things I’m going through, rather than trying to write a scenario that has never happened to me.”
Meanwhile, Gaga continues her acting streak. She's going to star in Bradley Cooper's remake of A Star is Born. Never one to shy away from a hashtag, she tweeted: ""I'm elated to be directed by & starring w/Bradley in this project. He's a brilliant visionary artist. #AStarIsBorn #AStarIsBornCooperGaga."
Zero of the week is Adele, who tearfully had to cancel a show in America due to a cold. She posted a video to Instagram, explaining."I've had a cold for a couple of days and I've been pushing through it, and I did my show last night and I loved it – but I pushed too hard, and my cold has got the better of me. As you can hear, even if I did the show, it wouldn't be very good. I'm really, really, really, really sorry to let anyone down. I've enjoyed my tour so much and cancelling shows has not been something that I want to do."
