Will Holland's prolificacy continues. Between a rake of albums as Quantic, collaborations with the likes of Alice Russell and releases with Colombian musicians as the Quantic Soul Orchestra and Los Miticos del Ritmo, Holland has produced a superb body of swinging work. Here, using the Quantic moniker for the first time since An Announcement to Answer (2006), Holland creates great shapely grooves that bend and sway in the Latin, soul, jazz and electronic breeze. The reemergence of the latter shade is interesting as Holland combines both sides of his musical world to make Magnetica really hum. You Will Return (with a powerful performance from Russell), Spark It (Caribbean bliss spiced with some lovely 'lectronic tones) and Duvidó (with Angolan vocalist Pongolove as the cherry on top of an alluring Colombian melange) are reasons to join Holland for this trip. quantic.org
