Anna Calvi was all over the shop late last year, and for very good reason. The London-Italian singer was tipped for success in 2011, and it's looking likely that, while she won't be guesting on X Factoranytime soon, she will shortly wind her little, lithe way into the left-of-centre mainstream.
This won’t be Calvi’s first time in Ireland – in December she fetched up in Dingle to play St James Church, delivering a short set that virtually burst with intensity and intimacy. This time out, Calvi can play her debut album in all its shaded glory.
What’s the betting that we’ll still walk away gobsmacked and utterly enthralled by this coiled spring of energy?
