At a packed Whelans on Monday, Ghostpoet (or "Ghostie" as the crowd fondly chanted at different turns) took the best parts of his narrative-driven, down-tempo album Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam, such as Survive Itand Cash and Carry Me Home, and made them resonate live.
For his "best crowd so far", he unveiled an excellent, new, bass-heavy track, Hampton's House, showcased some impressive dance moves and, with a disarming modesty, truly charmed all present.
