Yes, they might be on the receiving end of negative criticism for veering too close to a blunt edge. But at least Snow Patrol try to alter the course of their direction by engaging in gigs such as this one (and with shows next week) by reworking a selection of their songs, as well as material written and recorded in previous incarnations (typically, Reindeer Section, Gary Lightbody’s experimental ensemble side project).

Expect, then, a stage crammed with musicians, special guests, surprises, reinventions, reworkings, and the occasional cracking pop/rock tune.

Snow Patrol also perform next week at INEC, Killarney, Co Kerry, Dec 4; Theatre Royal, Castlebar, Co Mayo Dec 6; and Waterfront Hall, Belfast, Dec 7. All shows are fully seated, and commence at 8pm sharp (no support act).
