MUSIC NEWS:The Beatyard Weekender Festival began last night in Dublin's the Bernard Shaw.

A variety of events will take place from now until Sunday night, including gigs by Jape, Moths and Toddla T, a quiz night and a photography exhibition. On Sunday a tribute to Arthur Russell will feature Jim Carroll (of this parish) conducting a public interview with Russell biographer Tim Lawrence bodytonicmusic.com
