THE GAME
Stop Snitchin', Stop Lyin'
Liberation
***
It's easy to see why Jimmy Iovine and the lads over at Interscope turfed this DVD from the schedules earlier this year. As if he hadn't already irked 50 Cent and his G Unit buddies enough with concerted smear campaigns and diss tracks, The Game's Stop Snitchin', Stop Lyin' DVD will probably ratchet up the tension between the Compton rapper and his former play-pals even more. The most unintentionally funny scene here comes when The Game pays a visit to Fiddy's Connecticut mansion, hops over the wall, plays some basketball on the court and breaks the hoop. Elsewhere, it's a no-holds-barred and naturally one-sided account of the beef between The Game and G-Unit (or G-Unot as he calls them). Of course, there can be only one winner and, seeing as Fiddy is more interested in flogging crap films, books and vitamin water at the mo', this round goes to The Game. www.comptongame.com - Jim Carroll
THE OSMONDS

The revenge of teen-scream pop stars is sweet, savage and - taking into account the re-emergance of Take That and the continuing success of Westlife - often. The Osmonds, a band of Morman brothers, were the conservative, asexual and perma-smiling act which, in the early to mid '70s, cut a swathe through a pubescent female audience (and had six Top 20 UK hit singles from 1972-75). I assumed the band had disappeared into the high-end cabaret market, but this live show - recorded at London's Hammersmith Apollo earlier this year - sees Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Jimmy and Alan going through motions that whip up the middle-aged female fans (and their daughters, too, by the looks of it) to fever pitch. Extras include interviews, fan footage. No Donny, mind (duties in Beauty and the Beast in Las Vegas). Boo hoo. - Tony Clayton-Lea
