Presumably the copywriter who thought up French Connection's current slogan was much congratulated and considered terribly smart by everyone in the industry. We, on the other hand, think "FCUK" has all the wit of an adolescent's smutty joke and should certainly not have been plastered for weeks in large letters outside the English chain's new premises at the Powerscourt Townhouse in Dublin. At least the outlet's eventually opening has meant its ghastly hoarding has come down.
