No, we haven't got an encouraging exclusive on the peace talks lurking here in Front Row. Instead, we have news of the Ulster/Munster Literary Festival, a little-publicised but interesting literary event in Cork. All day tomorrow and Saturday there are readings and discussions, and the writers taking part include Hugo Hamilton, Evelyn Conlon, Bernard MacLaverty, Mary Leland, Cathal O Searcaigh, Glenn Patterson and Medbh McGuckian, to name but a few. Perhaps the most popular event, however (Saturday, 12 p.m., Kino Cinema) will be a discussion by Bernard MacLaverty and Eoin MacNamee on how their fiction has been translated for film. A special event, which has just been confirmed, is a screening of the film of MacNamee's novel, Resurrection Man, before the discussion at 10.15 a.m.
