Sotheby's's auction on modern British and Irish paintings and drawings next Wednesday contains a number of interesting pictures not least a canvas by Walter Osborne, entitled Little Boy Asleep.

Estimated to sell for £30,000 £50,000, this charming oil dates from 1887.
