Plenty of variety at all prices for Cork fair

The ninth annual Cork antiques and fine art fair opens at the city's Jury's Hotel tomorrow at 2 p.m. and continues until 9 p.m. on Tuesday. Since its inception, this event has been steadily building a reputation and is now the largest antiques fair in the Republic outside Dublin.

A wide variety of items at every price level will be on offer from dealers such as Carol's Antiques of Adare, Fortlands Antiques of Charleville, John Farrington of Dublin, Norah Lucey, Marguerite's Linens, L. & W. Duvallier, Moycullen Antiques from Galway, Satch Kiely of Westport, plus locals Donal O'Regan, Monica Noonan and Philip Stokes. The official opening will be performed by the Minister for Education, Mr Martin, at 7.30 p.m. tomorrow and there will be a free valuation service available on Monday and Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m.
