Macdara O'Drisceoil e-mailed to ask why Iarnród Éireann makes students produce an International Student Identity Card (€19 with a CIÉ Travelsave stamp) to get a discount fare when Bus Éireann will accept a college identity card.
Iarnród Éireann says that its discounts are more generous than Bus Éireann's and that the ISIC is a single form of ID that every student can avail of.
