Children are pedants on the subject of stuff they know about, which is the gimmick that drives Red Riding Hood and Friends.
Franz the storyteller is stuck; Red hasn't turned up - gone shopping - and his book has no pages. He needs help.
Obviously, he gets it with bells on. A substitute Red is recruited from the audience, and auditions are held for the Wolf. It's a bit early in life for rejection, but the unsuccessful applicants are consoled with apples.
So it goes, for some 45 minutes. Franz does his best, including signing his words for the deaf. All his sentences are finished for him, and any request of his is immediately, and usually excessively, responded to.
It is for children in the approximate age group of 4-8, and offers them amicable, seasonal and inexpensive fun.
Runs until Saturday at 10 and 12 a.m. with a matinee on Saturday at 3 p.m. To book phone 01-6770643
