THERE are four pictures by Rowland Hill in next Tuesday's sale of modern British art at Phillips on Bond Street, London. The quartet of oils are all views of Co Donegal and while three are expected to make £700-£1,000 each, the fourth - called the Rosses, Near Dungloe has a slightly higher estimate of £800-£1,200.

Also in this sale is an oil by Sir John Lavery called The Kerry Hills. Signed and inscribed to Sheila Beddington and dating from 1924, this picture has an estimate of £5,000-£7,000.
