Spoof-rockers Spinal Tap are planning to record new material this year. Although they reformed for 2007's Live Earth concert, the fictional band haven't released an album since 1992's Break Like the Wind. Harry Shearer (a.k.a. Derek Smalls, bassist) said that a new album will be available later this year. It is 25 years since the release of mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap.
