Andrew Loog Oldham, the manager who groomed The Rolling Stones for success in the early 1960s, will be one of the special guests at the 5th Kerry Film Festival, which runs from October 18th to 24th.
He will attend on the closing day, October 24th, for the first Irish screening of Charlie Is My Darlin', a rarely screened documentary on the band's 1965 Irish tour. It follows the Stones on the road, features Mick Jagger impersonating Elvis Presley, and footage from the Dublin gig, which ended in chaos after 20 minutes. Following the screening, Oldham will take part in a public interview to be chaired by B.P Fallon.
The festival runs from October 18th to 24th. kerryfilmfestival@sahlaiocht.com
