Two Victorian bookcases by Strahan are among the most interesting lots to be sold tomorrow at a Town & Country house contents sale in Ranelagh. The auction, at 48 Charleston Road, will include lots of furniture from other properties, notably a collection of Victorian Irish furniture from Navan.

The Strahan bookcases are just two of the items from this collection and they are expected to fetch around £2,000. An unusual Victorian carved, oak hall-stand has an estimate of £700-£800 and a pair of George III bookcases should make £2,500-£3,500.
