Access Cinema is bringing international cinema to younger audiences across the country through Zoom, a five-film programme that is on tour until mid-December.
Aimed at audiences aged 15 and over, and screening outside of school times, the programme includes notable recent films from Germany (The Edukators), Hungary (Kontroll), Chile (Machuca) and Scotland (Yasmin), along with the US classic Rebel Without a Cause, starring James Dean, who was killed in a car accident 50 years ago today.
New Irish short films will accompany the features, which will be screened at venues in Bantry, Bray, Clones, New Ross, Roscommon and Sligo. A second season of Zoom will tour in the spring. www.accesscinema.ie
