Colin (Chalk It Down blog):Gig of the year has to be Feist in Tripod - can't remember the last time I heard a voice like that live, great rapport with the crowd and that guy on pianos at the end was insanely good!
I Prefer The Obscure Remix blog:For me, 2007 belongs to MIA. It was also the year of poor album sales, a saturated live circuit, Radiohead's PR and marketing scam, and a host of notable album releases. Special mention must go to Pantha Du Prince, O'Death, Apparat, Taken By Trees, Adjagas, Panda Bear, Holy Fuck, Explosions In The Sky, Gui Boratto, Battles, Deerhunter and Amiina Ro, Cathy Davey at the Odessa Club in Dublin performing a gorgeous cover of You Send Me, real shivers down the backbone stuff. One of the most understated, unforgettable musical highlights of the year. The woman can do no wrong.
Noeleen Fox:Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings at Midlands, Richmond Fontaine at Midlands, Iron & Wine at the Ambassador, Ryan Adams & The Cardinals at National Stadium (the weirdest music venue in Ireland), Wilco at Vicar Street (sublime), Bill Callaghan at the Village (brilliant, despite the venue) and finally, Two Gallants in Crawdaddy.
Vincent Weasel:People. No doubt, best gig was Tool at the Point.
Bobby (HiFi Popcorn blog):The Polyphonic Spree's The Fragile Army was my favourite album of the year. These Truly Are End Times by So Cow was the best Irish album. That's all I need to say.
Carol:Kevin Drew at Tripod. The rendition of Where the Streets Have No Name was truly heartwarming and who could resist the urge to join in?
Thomas:The best: albums from Aesop Rock, Burial, Dizzee Rascal, El-P, Iron and Wine, LCD Soundsystem, MIA, The National, Nine Inch Nails, Pharoahe Monch, The Shins and Prefuse 73, plus The Old Crow Medicine Show at The Village and LCD Soundsystem at Tripod. Disappointing: UNKLE, Britney Spears, Jay-Z and Mos Def at the Village.
Shane (The Torture Garden blog):
A great year for Irish music: Cathy Davey's album, a Fight Like Apes EP and Dark Room Notes.
Q:Gigs: REM, Grizzly Bear and Dan Deacon. TV: season 4 of The Wire. They managed to outdo the previous three seasons. No mean feat.
Ian (Thrill Pier blog):Musical moments of the year: getting called up on stage to play guitar with the Hold Steady was pretty cool. Best gigs: Final Fantasy at Electric Picnic, The National's second night in Dublin, Dosh opening for Andrew Bird at Crawdaddy, Sonic Youth at EP, Slint in Tripod, Les Savy Fav in Crawdaddy, both of the second nights of Arcade Fire's visits to Dublin, Deerhunter, Cathy Davey, Handsome Furs in Whelan's, Si Schroeder at EP, Deerhoof and loads of others.
Le Catch (Album Archive blog):Album highlights included Interpol, Dan Deacon, St Vincent, Cathy Davey, PJ Harvey, Feist, Battles, Justice and Devendra Banhart
Steve K:Gigs: Junior Boys at Whelan's, Deerhunter at Whelan's and Of Montreal at Crawdaddy. Albums: Feist, Battles, Deerhunter, Justice, MIA (every morning in the shower, I was singing "when I'm doggin' on the bonnet of your red Hondaaa"), Menomena, Of Montreal, Okkervil River, The Postmarks, Sally Shapiro and Spoon.
Ivan:Crowded House at Marlay Park was a cracker. Album of the year has to be Lady's Bridge by Richard Hawley; 11 songs that all seem to recall an era before The Beatles and I mean that in a good way.
Co:Best albums I've heard this year: El-P, Cadence Weapon, Caribou, Super Furry Animals and Animal Collective. Some of the best gigs: Charlie Parr, Pharoe Monche, Beastie Boys, Jinx Lennon, Bloc Party and El-P.
For the absolute hilarity of it, that comical night myself and my mate packed some Buckfast and took a trip outside our demographic to Peter Gabriel in Marley Park. SLEDGEHAMMER!
Aoife Mc (Indie Hour blog):Best gig: Dan Deacon at Crawdaddy. I'm still buzzing from it! Irish album of the year: Super Extra Bonus Party. Best Irish live band: Dry County. Biggest disappointment: MIA at the Picnic.
Joe:Daft Punk, Oxegen '07. The best live act on the planet.
Pedro (Shapes and Shadows blog):A wet Thursday, February 15th, Tripod, Long Island's finest: Brand New! Nothing will top that gig.
Mutch:Favourite Irish music: Cathy Davey, Fight Like Apes, Jenny Lindfors, Future Kings of Spain. Best gigs abroad: Gogol Bordello, NIN and Battles at Pukklepop. I will never go to Oxegen again after having been abroad to a festival as cool as Pukklepop. Much better fun all round and best festival food ever.
My Pet Kangaroo:Albums: Editors, 30 Second To Mars, Paramore, Madina Lake, Vesta Varro.
Gigs:Editors, The Hold Steady, Beastie Boys, Foals, Black Soul Strangers.

National Disgrace:The re-emergence of the Boss.
Nigel:My three favourite gigs: The National at the Olympia, Jape at Crawdaddy and Wilco at Vicar Street.
Nicola:Albums: Machine Head and PJ Harvey. Gigs: Mastodon, 65 Days Of Static, Go It Alone and PJ Harvey at the Royal Festival Hall in London. Biggest disappointment would be the closure of so many record stores.
Dealga:Irish highlight: Cathy Davey. Irish disappointment: The Immediate calling it a day. Irish over-rated: Fionn Regan.
