Helen Thornton held a successful sale at Town & and Country's auction rooms on the Dublin quays last Sunday. The most expensive lot of the day was a Victorian mahogany, three-door bookcase that made £2,700. A mahogany Dend dining table sold for £1,450; a set of six Irish spoon back dining chairs fetched £1,120; and a second set of chairs, dating from circa 1830, sold for £1,080.
