The Crawford Art Gallery presents an off-site video installation by Dorothy Cross entitled Stalactite, 2010at the former Beamish and Crawford Brewery on South Main Street. The work takes inspiration from the Great Stalactite at Doolin Cave and is curated by Rachel Thomas at IMMA. It is on display from dusk until dawn every day this week. Kildare – Venice Festival
The Venice of Ireland festival combining recitals, workshops and arts events begins today and runs until Sunday in Monasterevin. While the official opening takes place with a parade on Wednesday, a guided walk in Moore Abbey Woods starts at 7pm this evening, starting at the Coillte car park on Athy Road. Dublin – Kids’ workshop
The Made in Temple Bar Festival continues this week and this morning there is a “tie-dye your own T-shirt” workshop at 11am. Suitable for children aged 8-12 years, it is free to attend but booking is required.
