What's on your rider?Blue cheese, olives, bread, Guinness, local lager, fresh ginger, red wine, hummus, yogurt, muesli, green salad vegetables, yada yada.
What would be on your fantasy rider?All the above plus hotel rooms, massage therapist.
What's your pre-gig ritual/ routine? Vocal warm-ups, stretching, hot ginger drink, avoid conversation with professional acquaintances.
How do you get to the gig - limo, taxi, walking?Foot, car, van, bus, train, plane, hot air balloon . . . It all depends on where the gig is.
What's the best gig you've been to?I would say The Beastie Boys in 1993. It was my first ever concert.
And the worst?The Beastie Boys later that year - it was cancelled.
Ecologically speaking, are you closer to Radiohead or Motörhead?Radiohead by all means.
Who is the most famous person to have shown up at one of your gigs?Justin Timberlake.
What's your crowd-pleasing number?Hard to say. Love and Love Again is a good ol' reliable.
Chatting between songs - good or bad?It's a must. Interaction is very important and fun.
Groupies. Would you?What do you mean, would you? Would I what?
How many roadies does it take to change your lightbulbs? (ie, how big is your entourage?)None. We do it ourselves.
Have you a special stage wardrobe?Whatever I am comfortable in. Comfort for me includes looking fab. We're in the creative process!! Let's express on all levels.
Do you like to meet and greet fans after the gig?I really like the interaction with the folks after a show, generally. Sometimes, though, I will opt out.
Any useful stage tips?Breathe. Focus. Remain present. Express fully. See your audience, etc.
What's the worst thing ever thrown at you?A $100 bill.
Who's invited to your aftershow party?Friends and family.
