I absolutely love Halloween. Growing up, there was always an air of excitement at this time of year. We were off school, got to plan what costumes to wear and most importantly, brushed up on our tin whistle tunes to convince our neighbours to part with as many penny sweets as possible. You were only as good as your last song.
This was followed by apple bobbing, more penny sweets and spending time with extended family. So it’s no surprise I carry these memories with me into adulthood, and I now get to make spiderweb cakes and Day of the Dead cookies as part of my job.
These fun treats for this spooky season are ideal for keeping your little monsters busy in the kitchen. Whether you try the Frankenstein cookie sandwiches or the mini pumpkin cakes, these tasty bites are no trick and all treat.
