Wear it out: Nail technicial and costume design student Jenny Wong

Vintage vibes and colour pops give a funky winter look

This week we meet Jenny Wong, nail technician, costume design student and vintage sales assistant. With her full schedule, Wong needs to look good in all situations. Her look is perfect for bombing around town at the weekend on your bike, running from Christmas markets or catching a theatre show. With this one, you’re dressed for anything.

1 Bomber jacket. Asos Marketplace is full of little vintage boutiques and is a great place to find a bargain as these independently-owned shops are small enough to be able to keep prices reasonable.

It’s the perfect alternative to mainstream online shopping as you can find unique pieces that no one else will have.

This vintage bomber is a great winter investment and a toasty outer layer, and who doesnt want to channel Kelly Kapowski from Saved By the Bell. The jacket costs about €32-€45

2. Blanket Scarf It is the year of the blanket scarf. With this trend you will almost feel like you are still in your bed but be careful this is not to be confused with wearing your pyjamas to the shops. Scarves are effortlessly chic and come in every colour under the sun. Monsoon, €22.

3. Hoody Our staple winter layer. For those days when you want to cover up and be cosy. Also in this country a hood is your best friend as it could rain at any time. These hoodies go with everything and under everything. Grab yours from American Apparel for €50. My favourite colour is the marl grey.

4. Runners Your shoes are a great way to add some colour to your outfit. Nike now has runners in almost every shade you could imagine so there are options for everyone. If you have a full weekend schedule, these guys will get you from place to place in comfort and style. Nike Free Runs, €89.
