Wear it out: on the festival catwalk

Festivals have become the new catwalks – take the opportunity to experiment with your look while it’s still high season

Last weekend we hit up Castlepalooza for some fun in the forest. Festivals have become the new catwalks with everyone planning their outfits week’s in advance. They are such a great opportunity to experiment with your look. Everyone is a little bit braver when we throw off the norms of Monday to Friday and go and live in a field for three days.

We are well into the Irish festival season now and Castlepalooza has to be one of my favourites and the style this year was out of this world. We met Katie McLoughlin Robinson who was rockin a gorgeous boho style for the weekend. Brave colour choices for the rain and mud, but she looks great and if we waited around for the weather to improve we would never get to wear any of our summer outfits

Dress: The feathery lace on the sleeves and the end gives such a romantic feel to your look and at 14euro do you even need anymore convincing. Missguided. €14

Duster Jacket: The crochet detail on the sleeve is such a delicate touch. It is a thick cotton so will give you that little bit of extra warmth needed in the Irish summer. This piece is great for a festival but would also look great with a pair of blue jeans and a white T-shirt when you leave the forest and come back to reality. This beautiful kimono/duster coat is a steal at from Boohoo at €24
