CHERCHE AND FIND Frances O'Gorman's boutique, Cherche Midi, in Dublin's Drury Street is already a mecca for shoe lovers, and will be the place to find the new Armani accessories collection this season. There are brushed hide and studded boots, croc prints, drawstring bags, and luxurious platinum lamé belts with that extra bit of controlled glamour typical of Armani. Cutest of all are black lace pumps with matching evening bags. Cherche Midi, 23 Drury Street, Dublin 2, 01-6753974.

MONT BLING Montblanc brings to mind fat, luxurious fountain pens, but the company also makes watches, leather items and accessories. This season it has launched its first jewellery line for women - three collections called Star, Boheme and Profile, consisting of mostly sterling silver pendants, interlocking rings, charm bracelets and necklaces set with colourful precious stones. At prices from €120 up to €390, the new Montblanc jewellery can be found in Weirs of Grafton Street, Dublin.

BARGAIN BUYS Cashmere lovers who fancy a bargain as well as a day out should head for the Steam Museum in Straffan, Co Kildare on September 22nd-24th, when Sarah Guinness and Diana Cooper stage their annual cashmere sale, with up to 50 per cent savings on retail prices. They are offering an extensive collection of men's and women's knits in pure cashmere and lambswool, as well as accessories such as scarves, hats, gloves, socks and pashminas. All are direct from Scottish manufacturers. Coffee will be served all day, and lunch can be had in the Steaming Kelly Tea Room at the museum.
