These unusual coasters (below) are made in Burgundy from natural stone that is hand cut, then imprinted with impressions of the labels from some of France's top wine producers.
They go through a special firing process that makes the image secure, and the stone is treated to make it stain resistant. The backs are covered with cork to prevent scratching.
