Helen Cody's stylish fashion shows always have a frisson of excitement and next Friday she has chosen to unveil her autumn/winter couture collection in the magical setting of the Spiegeltent in Dublin's Iveagh Gardens, the Fringe Festival's main venue.
Recently in the news for the robbery of items from this collection, some of which have now been retrieved, Cody has themed this fantasy show around memories from childhood. It features a little girl called Cordelia who acquires a pair of magic shoes. Whenever she puts them on, things begin to happen . . .
"It's about the madness that is in my head," says Cody. The collection, with its cashmere coats, embellished Victorian jackets, flapper and wedding dresses in her signature luxury fabrics, will go on sale from September 8th in her new studio, Unit 1, White Swan Business Centre, Donore Avenue, Dublin 8.
