While some Bordeaux wines may grab the headlines for their eye-watering prices, the majority of the region’s wines are affordable, don’t require ageing, and offer something for every palate, from dry whites to robust reds.
Next Thursday in the Irish Timesbuilding in Tara Street, Dublin, wine correspondent John Wilson will take you through a tasting of six Bordeaux wines, and some well-matched nibbles specially selected to illustrate the delicious versatility the region has to offer, at everyday prices.
Come along for an enjoyable evening (6.30pm-8pm). The admission fee is €20, with all proceeds going to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin. There will be spot prizes, including tickets to Supertramp and bottles of Bordeaux wine. Limited places are available, so please register online at irishtimes.com/winetasting.
