The grounds of a GAA club in Malahide, Co Dublin, are to be sold for a residential development through the Gunne estate agency. The 10.24-acre site, which is expected to make around £1.2 million, is being vacated by the Naomh Mearnog club. the club is moving to new grounds and a clubhouse in the area. The site at Blackwood Lane adjoins Malahide Golf Club and is within one mile of the village. The land is zoned for residential use under the 1993 Dublin County Development Plan, allowing a maximum of 10 houses. A price of £1.2 million would therefore equate to £120,000 per site. Developed sites a short distance away are each making £175,000, according the agents. The grounds will be sold by tender on October 24th.
