The Lodge at Westaston Demsene, Kilmacurra, Co Wicklow is a pretty cut-stone cottage set on three acres of grounds. It carries a guide price of £150,000 (190,500) through Remax Garden County Auctioneer and is scheduled for auction on November 7th.
Located in picturesque countryside, about four miles inland from the Beehive pub on the N11, the house was built in 1867 as the rear gate lodge to the Kilmacurra Estate.
The estate is now owned and maintained by the Office of Public Works and has a superb arboretum.
A three-bedroom house, Westaston Lodge is in need of some refurbishment. The house is surrounded by mature rhododenrons and holly tress.
However, the trees currently on the land are not included in the sale and will be removed before the auction.
