A private investor has paid slightly over £5 million (€6.4) for a tax-driven office investment at Cork Airport Business Park. The newly completed 20,000 sq ft building is let to the US healthcare company McKesson HBOC at a rent of £280,000 (€355,526) per annum. The 25-year lease provides for a break in the tenth year. The purchaser will be able to avail of about 95 per cent of the purchase price in capital allowances. Agent Lisney, which handled the sale, has now begun marketing the final phase of 60,000 sq ft of office space in the park, which brings the overall development up to 480,000 sq ft.
