A country inn first established at Glencar, Killarney, Co Kerry, in 1879, has come on the market through joint agents North's and John P Younge. The Climbers Inn, located at the bottom of Ireland's highest peak, Carrantuohill, is expected to make between £750,000 and £850,000 (€952,303-€1.079m) when it is sold by private treaty. The business, which is approved by the Irish Tourist Board, includes a bar and lounge, restaurant, shop, sub post office, and residential accommodation. Separately there are eight en suite guest bedrooms and outside, a large garage incorporating a store. There is a total floor area of 5,190 sq ft. The property also includes a site of 2.5 acres of with planning permission for an orientation centre and eight detached holiday homes. This site may be sold separately.
