Aer Lingus is to sell its freehold ticket booking office on the ground of the Royal Dublin Hotel in O'Connell Street, Dublin. It also hopes to sell its lease of another office at the junction of St Stephen's Green and Dawson Street.
Cumisky Auctioneers is quoting a guide price of around £1.5 million (€1,905,000) for the O'Connell Street premises which have 3,100 sq ft at street level and a basement of 1,500 sq ft. The sale is by tender.
The St Stephen's Green unit has a ground-floor retail area of 785 sq ft and a basement of 755 sq ft, which are rented at £88,000 (€111,740,000). The 35-year lease from 1994 provides for a break option in the 15th year. The agents are seeking a premium of around £100,000 (€127,000) for the lease.
