AROUND THE BLOCK:LISNEY HAS carved out a niche for itself, selling former affordable apartments that the local authorities couldn't shift. Last week it managed to sell over half of the 21 docklands apartments to first-time buyers which the DDDA had previously earmarked for affordable housing.

Spencer Dock (above) proved to be the most popular development – where six one-bed units and two two-beds were sold. Two one-beds sold in the Waterfront and the only unit at Butlers Court was also sold.

The units started from €165,000 and were sold without the clawback restriction if sold on within 20 years of purchase.

The apartments are in popular developments on the north and south quays, including Spencer Dock, The Waterfront and Longboat Quay. There are also a small number at Hanover Quay on the south docks.
