Newly developed apartments in the old French school on Sidmonton Road in Bray, Co Wicklow, have finally come on the market through Hamilton Osborne King. Six of the 13 apartments in the period building go on sale from today. Prices start at £150,000 for a 500 sq. ft one-bed unit. Two-bedroom apartments begin at £170,000 for the smallest 800 sq. ft unit and up to £285,000 for the largest apartment with 1,200 sq. ft.
Because the apartments are in an old building, stamp duty will be added to the purchase price - 5 per cent for the smaller units and 7 per cent for the more expensive homes. Catherine O'Connor of HOK will be taking bookings from today and viewing will begin on Saturday next at 3 p.m.
Once the six apartments have sold, the developer plans to hold on to the remaining seven units for corporate letting.
Sidmonton Road's proximity to the seafront means the upper floors have sea views, and the DART is minutes away. The price includes a choice of either wooden flooring or carpets, with curtains another standard feature. Each apartment has an en suite off the main bedroom and a main bathroom.
