A development of apartments and townhouses in Edinburgh is being launched off plans in Dublin by Hooke & MacDonald today. Greenbank Village will have an interesting mixture of homes in the secluded grounds of the former Edinburgh City Hospital, close to the city centre. The original Victorian building, with its turreted roof line, will be sympathetically restored and a variety of newly built blocks are planned.
Completion is expected from early this summer up to the end of the year. Two-bedroom apartments of 1,024 sq. ft are priced from £170,000 sterling. Three-bedroom apartments with 1,590 sq. ft cost from £246,000 and four-bedroom townhouses of 1,629 sq. ft are priced from £260,000.
Joint developers Cala Homes and Morrison Homes are providing a top-of-the-range specification, which includes Siematic kitchens with oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. All the main bedrooms are en suite.
A growing number of Irish investors are buying into the Scottish property market, attracted in the main by the strong rental potential.
