Mount Offaly, a five-acre riverside site with full planning permission for 72 apartments 300 yards from the centre of Athy, Co Kildare, is being offered for sale at auction on September 28th. The agent, Bryan O'Doherty, who is guiding £1.3 million, says there are no new or second-hand apartments on sale in the rapidly expanding commuter town.
