The Lambert Smith Hampton agency in Belfast is quoting a guideline price of around £1 million sterling for Marl borough House, set on an acre of potential residential development land in the heart of the city's prime Malone residential area. The property is being sold at auction on Friday along with two other properties with residential development potential. Marlborough House, on Marlborough Park South, opposite Victoria College, is currently an old people's home with extensive wooded gardens. It is one of the few remaining sites with development potential in the area. Two other properties for sale are 77 Myrtlefield Park, also in the Malone area, a substantial house on 0.23 of an acre for which a guideline of £500,000 is being quoted; and a site of 0.76 of an acre at Inverary Avenue, off the Hollywood Road, in east Belfast, carries a guide price of £400,000.
