Dublin Corporation has refused planning permission for Tesco's proposed 107,000-sq-ft shopping centre at Clare Hall on the Malahide Road in Dublin 13. The £20 million (€25.4m) shopping centre was to have replaced an existing stand-alone store. The application had been made for an anchor Tesco supermarket within the Government restrictions of around 30,000 sq ft, along with six other retail outlets and parking for 680 cars.
