Council to get £300,000 an acre for land near M50

South Dublin County Council looks like cashing in on the high prices now being paid for industrial land

South Dublin County Council looks like cashing in on the high prices now being paid for industrial land. The council is likely to get around £300,000 per acre for 17 acres within a thriving industrial area in Ballymount. The land is located along the line of the proposed Walkinstown-Saggart Road adjoining the M50 motorway.

Close by, Park Developments has had very considerable success with its M50 Business Park, where it is marketing a design-and-build service for companies looking for high tech space. UPS recently moved into a 20,000 sq ft call centre on the site, where the other notable tenants include the Blue Circle manufacturing company.
