Members of Waterford City Council are planning to put forward a proposal to a remove two business premises on Broad Street from the register of listed buildings in the city development plan. An Bord Pleanala had overruled the council's decision to allow a local businessman, John Whittle, to redevelop Flanagan's wholesale and retail fish premises and an adjoining shop for letting to UK pharmacy chain Boots. An Taisce had objected to the redevelopment.
