Caragh Lodge has won a number of excellence awards over the years and is listed in most major guides. The lakeshore position of this hotel is idyllic for a getaway. There are nine bedrooms and six further rooms in two buildings - all but two are en suite.

Off the main hall is an office/reception and the blue visitors' lounge, with another timber fireplace, bay window and door to a Victorian-tiled loggia. Another room titled has a fireplace and cosy reading area set into the window bay. Doors open to a formal diningroom which seats 34. A period marble mantelpiece, centre rose and bay window reading nook are the main features of this spacious room.
Off the good-sized commercial kitchen is a butler's pantry with original floor tiles and a wash-up area, also tiled. A Victorian-style light box gives good natural light to the landing.
