Sales Results:The market may be sluggish for trade-up houses but there seems to be plenty of buyers out there for homes that are out of the ordinary. Sherry FitzGerald proved that twice in the last week, when it fetched over €6m by private treaty for House Vi, a contemporary house on Torca Road in Dalkey designed by architect Tom dePaor.
It took less than six weeks to sell. Meanwhile, Sherry FitzGerald fetched €9.4m under the hammer for Glenheather on Avoca Ave, Blackrock, a large period house on just under an acre of grounds. The property was bought as a private home rather than for development.
