Showhouses are opening for the first time at Delgany Wood - a development of detached houses a short walk from the picturesque Co Wicklow village of Delgany.
Out of 50 four-bedroom detached houses on the site, around 10 have been sold from plans and the remaining 30 are now on the market.
Prices start at £299,000 (€379,650) for 1,200 sq ft four-bedroom units, going up to £399,000 (€506,630) for 1,560 sq ft four-bedroom houses on large corner sites.
Joint agents Jackson-Stops and Ross McParland will be taking bookings from today and showhouses will be open from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. until next Sunday.
The Delgany Woods scheme - by Ventola who also built Bellevue Court in Delgany - is located beyond the church and not far from the Killincarrig/Greystones junction.
The specification is high, with solid pine Rationel windows in all the houses, recessed lighting and plenty of power points. Window heads and sills are granite. The hedgerows bounding the site have been protected as part of the planning permission, giving the development a mature look.
There are seven of the smallest four-bedroom detached houses for sale in this phase. Priced from £299,000 (€379,650), the 1,200 sq ft houses have a traditional layout with sittingroom, interconnecting diningroom and a kitchen to the rear with room for a breakfast table.
There are two double bedrooms - one en suite - and two single rooms.
A slightly larger version of this house has an L-shaped extended kitchen/breakfastroom. In both houses, modern kitchen units are light wood and three of the four bedrooms have fitted wardrobes.
Larger 1,560 sq ft four-bed detached houses cost from £385,000 (€488,850) with two units on corner plots priced at £399,000 (€506,630). The sittingroom is linked to the diningroom by pine double-doors with leaded glass panels.
The kitchen spans the width of the house to the back. Upstairs, there are two good double bedrooms and two single, the main bedroom is en suite and three of the rooms have fitted wardrobes.
A total of 50 houses are planned in this initial phase of Delgany Woods, according to Jackson-Stops, with further planning applications awaiting the opening of the South Cross Delgany bypass and the Glen of the Downs dual-carriageway.
