Leading Dublin property developers Paddy Kelly and John Flynn have emerged as the latest buyers of the former Bank of Ireland Finance office building at 6 Burlington Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. The block has now been sold three times in the past three years, rising in value from £4 million to £10 million in that time. The 26-year-old building was originally sold early in 1997 by Bank of Ireland for £4 million. The purchaser, David Arnold, sold on the contract for about £6.5 million to Fyffes last January, two months before he was due to complete the purchase.

Fyffes planned to use the 23,000 sq ft building as its new headquarters but later opted for two Georgian houses on St Stephen's Green. Fyffes secured planning permission to add an additional 10,000 sq ft at Burlington Road.

The building is currently rented by Citibank until April, 2000, at a rent of £770,000.

Spain Courtney Doyle handled the latest sale.
