A development site of almost half an acre at 25/27 City Quay, Dublin 2, is expected to make over £4 million when it is sold at auction on February 9th by DTZ Sherry FitzGerald. The site of 0.46 of an acre overlooks the city quays directly opposite the International Financial Services Centre and has direct access on to Gloucester Street at the rear.

Although planning permission was recently granted for a five-storey apartment building with basement car-park, the new owner may well opt for either an office development or a mixed office and apartment scheme. James Meagher of the selling agent says it would make an ideal office site bearing in mind the historically low level of available space in the city.

The site is currently being used as a bus depot and is being sold following the decision of Eirebus Ltd to move to a new purpose-built facility in Blanchardstown.
